We’re giving away a free ride with Bike Adirondack to one lucky PTNY rider!

You heard that right. Register for either Cycle the Erie Canal or Cycle the Hudson Valley and you could win 2 registrations to either the Weekender or Handlebarley with our friends at Bike Adirondack.

The Weekender

Dates: July 31-August 2
Location: Paul Smith’s College, Paul Smiths
Mileage: 20-40 miles/day

This is the ultimate event to attend with a big group of friends. Whether you stay on campus, or stay in local lodging, the Weekender is all about relaxation and exploration, on and off your bike.

Paul Smith’s 14,000 acre lakeside campus is perfect hub for you to explore the beautiful Saranac Lake region by bicycle. But this event is so much more. It’s a waterfront campfire with a guitar and friends. It’s a few paddle strokes on a pristine pond while listening to the enchanting call of a loon. It’s drinking in crisp forest smells while strolling a boardwalk along a nearby bog. And, of course, the cycling is AMAZING. Especially since we’ll utilize sections of the vehicle-free and visually stunning Adirondack Rail Trail

Handlebarley

Dates: September 12-13
Location: North Hudson
Mileage: 30-43 miles

Hosted at Paradox Brewery in North Hudson, the Handlebarley Gravel Weekend features two incredible fall days of mixed surface riding in the southern Adirondacks. Best part is you can sign up to ride just Saturday, only Sunday, or make it a full weekend.

Regardless of the number of days you choose to ride, you’re guaranteed some awesome dirt, equally amazing views and a whole lot of fun. The main event will be Saturday this year with fabulous 43-mile mixed surface route where we venture east of the brewery to Ironville for a stop the Penfield Homestead Museum and then to Moriah for another rest stop at Hunter Way Farm before heading back to the brewery for a pizza and salad feast complete with live music. In between, you’ll experience some of the finest paved and gravel backroads anywhere in the region. Sunday’s ride is mid morning cruise to stunning Boreas Ponds followed by post ride drinks at the brewery.
