Making Memories: Share Your Story
The dark, rainy, cold, wet days of late winter have us thinking back to warmer times spent outside under clear blue skies. New York's great parks are the perfect place to make memories. Parks are where we learned to swim, caught our first fish (we could swear it was as big as we were), hiked our first tall peak, learned how to kayak, and fell in love with nature.
We know you love parks and have had awesome adventures exploring NY's great outdoors, and we want to hear about it! Please, share your story of your favorite memory at a NY Park. Here's how:
- Write a short paragraph about an unforgettable moment/day spent in a New York State Park (it can be anything that is special to you!)
- Attach a picture of the moment OR of yourself in the State Park
- Make sure to include the name of the park
Send us your stories to Lisa Pepe, Program Coordinator, firstname.lastname@example.org. Once collected, we will be sharing your stories with PTNY supporters to show that making memories in state parks means reconnecting with nature! We can't wait to hear about your special memories.
Are you active in your local parks AND active on social media? If that's the case and you want to share your story on facebook or instagram, don't forget to tag @parksandtrailsny in your photo and #PTNY.
