Welcome New Planning Intern

PTNY is excited to bring Jon Thompson on as a Bicycle & Pedestrian Planning intern, a new position for the organization. Jon's love of the outdoors and range of research skills will support PTNY's growing list of bicycle planning projects, including current efforts in Troy and Orangetown.

An Albany native, Jon is currently enrolled in the Masters of Regional Planning program at the University at Albany. He completed an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Public History at Clemson.

Jon's passion for the outdoors was fueled by an experience as a Wilderness Ranger Intern with the Yosemite Wild-Link Bridge program in the summer of 2012. Since then he's worked with the New York State Archives and the New York State Business Development Corporation, and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity.

It's great to have you along for the ride Jon!
