PTNY in the New York Times

A story on the renaissance of the NYS Park System that ran November 3 in the New York Times refers to PTNY’s report, Parks at a Turning Point, as sounding the alarm almost a decade ago about the system’s ailing infrastructure.

PTNY Executive Director Robin Dropkin is quoted as saying, “It’s nothing short of miraculous that the state park system, the oldest in the nation, is getting a thoughtful redo.”

In the article, Dropkin also stresses how important it is to involve young people in state parks to build up the next generation of park lovers and users so the system can sustain itself for the next century.
