Friends Conference

It’s hard to think about Fall and cooler weather while we are in the middle of a gorgeous summer, but nevertheless, we like to plan ahead at Parks & Trails New York.

We usually put on a series of regional gatherings in the Fall, but this year we want to change things up. Instead of doing regional gatherings, we are doing one state-wide Friends Conference on December 1-2 at the Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Spa State Park.

We are really excited about this opportunity. We are partnering with the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) to set up a great program. The conference will allow Friends groups from across the state to come together to network and share their experiences with Friends they wouldn’t usually have the opportunity to see.

There will be informative workshops, and sessions for Friends to interact with each other and with Parks & Trails New York and OPRHP.
