Join us at an Event
Special events and advocacy opportunities throughout New York State.
In 2021, PTNY is continuing to give our parks a voice and interact with the state’s decision makers on a personal level. Given the social distancing guidelines, we have reimagined Park Advocacy Day (PAD) to be completely virtual. The event will be smaller and more targeted, prioritizing broadly-accessible programming and high-quality legislative visits, but there will still be lots of opportunities for the public to get involved. From an advocacy storytelling workshop to a social media toolkit to an easy-to-use letter writing campaign, there are endless ways to make your voice heard.
Parks & Trails New York organizes I Love My Park Day, in partnership with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, to celebrate, improve and enhance state parks and historic sites; boost volunteerism; and raise the visibility of the entire state parks system and its needs.
More than 650 cyclists will leave their cars behind to pedal along the historic Erie Canalway Trail to Albany. Along the 400-mile journey, cyclists will enjoy some of the finest scenery, most interesting history, and unparalleled cycling in the northeastern United States.
