Love Our New York Lands
Thank you to all our volunteers who turned out to more than 30 public lands across their state as part of our first annual Adirondack and Catskill Park Day and Fish and Wildlife Day!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers who participated in Adirondack and Catskill Park Day and Fish and Wildlife Day. Your dedication and hard work made a significant impact on our cherished public lands, helping to preserve the beauty and health of these vital ecosystems. The collective efforts of each volunteer not only enhance the natural environment but also foster a sense of community and stewardship that inspires others to take action. Thank you for your commitment to protecting and enhancing our parks; your contributions truly make a difference for future generations to enjoy.
What is Love Our New York Lands?
Parks & Trails New York joined New York State Parks and the State Department of Environmental Conservation to encourage visitors at state parks and other state-owned and -managed lands to enjoy their outdoor adventure while protecting these precious natural resources. The Love Our New York Lands campaign recognizes the record numbers of New Yorkers and visitors from around the globe who have discovered that the Empire State's scenic beauty and exceptional recreation make for the perfect destination.
The campaign offers tips to plan ahead, visit responsibly, and practice Leave No Trace™ principles, so that together we can help ensure these special places are protected for future generations. The goal is to provide visitors with the knowledge and tools necessary to reduce their impact, engage users to practice sustainable and safe recreation, and help all visitors feel welcome while visiting state lands.
