Join Parks & Trails New York on September 23rd to cycle the Empire State Trail from Albany to Peebles Island State Park in Cohoes. “Pedal to Peebles” is part of Hudson River Valley Ramble, Bike Your Park Day, and National Public Lands Day. We are currently accepting registrations and will welcome 100 cyclists to travel with us and partners up the Hudson River. We’ll end with an optional walk on the island hosted by the Friends of Peebles State Park, as well as some snacks and the opportunity to connect with our partners.

NEW: Thanks to Nine Pin Cider Works, riders will be invited to end the outing at the cidery (just a few blocks away from Corning Preserve) and all riders 21+ will be given a voucher for a free 12-oz pour!

Where: Meet at the Corning Preserve Boat Launch at the corner of Colonie and Water Streets underneath I-787. The ride continues up to Peebles Island State Park at a relaxed pace (10-12 mph). The ride is roughly 10 miles in each direction for a 20 mile round trip.

Cost: No charge.

Event Duration: 4 hours

Difficulty: Moderate. The ride is mostly on flat, accessible paths, but it does include short stretches of on-road riding that may have moderate to heavy traffic, and is not suitable for young children and those uncomfortable riding on road.

Length: 20 miles roundtrip bike ride. View the RidewithGPS route.
