Explore the Empire State Trail and join Parks & Trails New York for Bike Your Park Day on October 1, 2017! Parks & Trails New York will host a 21-mile roundtrip ride as part of Adventure Cycling Association's Bike Your Park Day to celebrate National Public Lands Day .

Parks & Trails New York will lead a ride from a park, through a park, and to a park. Our ride, "Explore the Empire State," will begin in Albany's Corning Preserve, travel to Peebles Island State Park along the Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail (part of the Erie Canalway Trail and the recently announced statewide Empire State Trail), and then return to Albany. Before riders return to Albany, a representative from the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor will lead walking tour of the early 20th Century Matton Shipyard.

Cyclists will leave Albany's Corning Riverfront Park at 9:00 AM and reach Peebles Island at approximately 10:30 AM.

The ride is free to join, but requires registration.

Looking forward to seeing you in Albany!
