VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

All riders, volunteers and staff five years and older must arrive with proof of vaccination, as defined by the CDC, as of July 1, 2022. Proof of vaccination can be:

  • original CDC card
  • photocopy or a phone picture of CDC vaccination card
  • Excelsior Pass is acceptable for NYS residents when presented on the app with full vaccination history visible

Participants under five years of age must arrive with proof of a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test within 48 hours of July 9 and expect to need testing during the week if symptomatic.

All riders, volunteers and staff will receive a wristband confirming that they are vaccinated after checking in at the Medical table, prior to picking up registration packets.

MASKING

All participants should be prepared to mask according to NY State and local venue protocols.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

All participants should practice social distancing whenever possible and when indicated by ride signage or local venue policy.

MEAL SEATING/AUDITORIUMS

CTEC will provide seating that complies with NY State guidelines and local venue protocols.

BUS SHUTTLES/BUS CHARTERS

Participants utilizing CTEC buses should be prepared to wear a mask if current guidelines or bus company policy requires it.

MISCELLANEOUS

Participants should be prepared for CTEC to implement pandemic policy that is recommended by the CDC, NY State or local venues. CTEC will notify registrants, via email, regarding Covid policy changes.

INDOOR CAMPING

Indoor camping will be canceled if COVID measures at the time (as of July 1, 2022) do not allow it.

CANCELLATION

If WE cancel Cycle the Erie Canal due to COVID, registrants will have the following options:

  • Roll over your registration to the 2023 Cycle the Erie Canal tour. If you roll over your registration, we will honor your registration for 2023 as paid in full (for the options you chose in 2022), regardless if tour prices increase in 2023.
  • Cancel for a full refund of your registration fee (this includes shuttle fees, if applicable) minus a $200 COVID administrative fee per registrant.

If YOU cancel Cycle the Erie Canal, our regular cancellation policy is in effect as per the info found here.

  • The 4-day tour from Buffalo to Syracuse is full
  • The Albany to Buffalo Shuttle on July 9th is full
