WINNER: Our Trail Tales raffle prize goes to . . .

We held a raffle this month to encourage story submissions for our #NYTrailTales campaign. An avid user of the Erie Canalway Trail in the Syracuse area will now have a free guidebook to accompany her on her journeys.

Cori Patterson of East Syracuse submitted her story and was chosen by Parks & Trails NY staff to receive a complimentary copy of Cycling the Erie Canal. According to Ms. Patterson, "I run and walk almost daily on the historic Erie Canal in Syracuse, NY. My husband and I regularly bike 30-40 miles on the canal on the weekends. We love riding to canal towns, grabbing a bite to eat and riding home! Last summer, we rode 182 miles on the Erie Canal trail from Syracuse to Albany! We hope to bike from Buffalo to Syracuse in the future. The following photo is our 100th mile on the Erie Canal!”
