Show NYS Parks and Historic Sites Some Love

I Love My Park Day: May 4, 2013

Thanks to the more than 4,000 volunteers who pitched in on Saturday, Parks & Trails New York's second annual I Love My Park Day was a huge success. With your help, we accomplished so much. Nearly 80 parks and historic sites were spruced up and enhanced with cleanup, gardening, painting and construction projects. New and veteran volunteers came out to give back to the parks they use and enjoy all year and create a community of park lovers.

A big thank you to our partners at the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Governor Cuomo, the NY State Commission on National and Community Service, our sponsors, especially AT&T and L.L.Bean, and all the wonderful Friends and volunteers who came out, rolled up their sleeves, and helped make I Love My Park Day a huge success!

Parks & Trails New York organizes I Love My Park Day, in partnership with OPRHP, to celebrate, improve and enhance state parks and historic sites; boost volunteerism; and raise the visibility of the entire state parks system and its needs.
